The Parent-to-Child Anxiety Transmission in Early Childhood (P-CAT) Study

Recruitment for the P-CAT Study is open!

Please contact us if you have a 4-6 year old child to join the P-CAT Study!

  • Study visits include 2 In-Lab Sessions and 1 Remote Session via Zoom

  • Children participate in non-invasive brain scans and play games

  • The participating parent completes questionnaires

  • Children will receive a small prize

  • Families earn up to $400 for full participation (3 sets of in-person visits over a span of 2 years)

  • Transportation provided or reimbursed

The purpose of this study is to learn about how parent-child interactions affect children’s socioemotional development. Repeated daily interactions with caregivers are quite common and we would like to better understand how children’s responses to fear and distress are shaped by these interactions.
