The DIBS Study

The overarching goal of the proposed research is to characterize, using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), the patterns of change in brain activity associated with developmental changes in aspects of cognition and emotion. This work will investigate a variety of cognitive abilities, including visual and auditory social perception, decision making in the context of social information, and emotion regulation. By imaging the neural circuitry supporting these different aspects in children and adults, the proposed research will begin to explore the neural bases of emotional and cognitive systems and its development.
